The Center for Cyber, Health, and Hazard Strategies is a nationally recognized university center that partners with governments, institutions, and communities to build practical, sustainable solutions for complex public safety, emergency management, and crisis response challenges.

What We Do

When disaster strikes, communities need more than a plan. They need the right partners. Founded after 9/11 and based at the Íøºì±¬ÁÏ, Baltimore, CHHS brings together experts in law, policy, public health, and emergency management to help organizations prepare, respond, and recover from a wide range of threats — from cyberattacks to climate-related disasters.

Real-World Impact

CHHS has led major planning and response efforts in the Mid-Atlantic and beyond, including COVID-19 coordination, opioid crisis response, mass casualty planning, and cybersecurity incident readiness. Our work shapes how jurisdictions prepare — and prevail — in times of uncertainty.
