Official UMB Looks

UMB has an official visual identity that creates a consistent look and feel across University communications. Approved templates and branded assets, including PowerPoint presentations, flyers, virtual backgrounds, and more are available for download.

If you prefer to use the standard UMB logo without an area-specific look, several official templates are available on the Download Logos and Templates page.

Use of Area-Specific ‘Looks’

Area-specific looks help distinguish schools, departments, and administrative units while maintaining a consistent UMB identity.

When using an area-specific look:

  • Always pair it with the official UMB logo or the appropriate school logo.
  • Never use look elements on their own without an approved logo.
  • Do not alter or separate elements of an approved look.

Official Stationery

Area-specific looks may not be used on official letterhead or business cards. All University units must use the standard UMB branding for these materials.

You can order official stationery through the Stationery Portal or download approved digital letterhead templates.

Collaborations Among Multiple Units

When communications represent multiple schools, departments, or units:

  • Use only one approved look on a communication.
  • Do not combine elements from multiple looks.
  • Consider using the standard UMB logo with a collaboration statement listing all participating units.
  • Alternatively, use one participating area's approved look and include a collaboration statement identifying the other units.

Need a Template?

The Office of Communications and Public Affairs can help create Microsoft Office templates using your approved look or assist with incorporating your branding into Canva.
