  • University safety vehicles including a police car, public safety van and trailer

    Safe Ride/ Safe Walk

    Safe Walk is available 24/7 and Safe Ride is available from 7 a.m. to 1 a.m. Request either via ³Ù³ó±ð Mobile UMB app or by calling 410-706-6882.  

  • Red brick row homes

    Live Near Your Work

    UMB employees can get money for the purchase of a home in select West Baltimore neighborhoods, including ones needing major renovations. 

  • a group of adults and children gather for a photo in front of public safety vehicles

    This mentoring program nurtures relationships between UMB police officers and neighborhood children through meetings, field trips, and activities.

The Live Near Your Work (LNYW) Program is a homebuying assistance benefit for University employees that offers money toward the down payment/closing costs of homes in select West Baltimore neighborhoods, including for homes requiring major renovations.

The Child Care Grant Program is available to assist working parents at UMB. The taxable, need-based grant will help eligible employees pay for qualifying, work-related child care.
