New Federal Regulation
The Office of International Services is reviewing the final federal regulation ending the policy of granting Duration of Status (D/S) to F-1 and J-1 students and scholars. Instead, F-1 and J-1 status holders will have a fixed I-94 expiration date. This change will take effect on September 15, 2026.
