UMB was first accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in 1921. At its session on June 26, 2025 the Middle States Commission on Higher Education acted to acknowledge receipt of the self-study report and reaffirm accreditation. The next evaluation site visit is scheduled for 2032-2033.
