Foster Global Perspectives in Healthcare Education by Enhancing “Supporting Newborn Transition” Nursing Elective by Creating a Global Health Module
Dr. Anjana Solaiman
School of Nursing
Assistant Professor
As a faculty member of the school of nursing with an expertise in maternal newborn and reproductive health, my goal is to help foster a global perspective in healthcare education. This project includes enhancing the nursing elective “Supporting Newborn Transition” through the creation of a global health module, which will provide an opportunity to expose students to comprehensive global health concepts related to the care of newborns and their families during birth. This module will benefit students and contribute to the broader nursing community's understanding of newborn care in diverse cultural and health care settings.
