Dawn M. Rhodes Announcement
Dear Colleagues:
I’m delighted to share with you that Dawn M. Rhodes, DBA, MBA, is now senior vice president. Dr. Rhodes joined the Íøºì±¬ÁÏ, Baltimore (UMB) in 2016 as chief business and finance officer and vice president.
Dr. Rhodes oversees UMB's $1.3 billion budget, capital planning, facilities operations, and business affairs and serves as a key liaison to the local community on neighborhood development projects. Since joining UMB, she has brought transparency to University finances, launched a revitalized Live Near Your Work Program, created an Emergency Management Department, and hired UMB’s first female police chief.
She is a key strategic thinker in the president’s cabinet and viewed as a thought leader within the University System of Maryland. Most recently, she has been an integral part of UMB’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as a member of the President’s Crisis Management Advisory Group.
