UM Ventures Initiative Receives Major Funding
Medical device startup company CoapTech has received investor capital to support clinical testing, bringing its feeding tube placement technology closer to Food and Drug Administration approval. The Íøºì±¬ÁÏ, Baltimore licensed exclusive rights to CoapTech in 2016 for the commercial development of a platform technology called Coaptive Ultrasound.
CoapTech was founded under the guidance of UM Ventures, an initiative of the program designed to bring together the Íøºì±¬ÁÏ, Baltimore and the Íøºì±¬ÁÏ, College Park to commercialize discoveries and create economic impact by engaging partners in industry and social ventures.
