I am a 40-year-old mom with two kids under 10 years old. We live outside of DC in Maryland. When I read news articles and hear stories on the radio, I can't determine if I can get Covid vaccines like I did in year's past for me and our kids. It's confusing. The only person in our family who has an at-risk condition is my husband who takes blood pressure medication. In the past we got our shots at CVS. What do you recommend? I appreciate your help.

In the State of Maryland, COVID-19 Vaccination for those aged 6 months through 18 years may be administered based on 鈥渋ndividual-based decision making鈥. The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) refers all providers and patients to adhere to the immunization schedule of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the well-known and highly-regarded professional society for pediatricians in the U.S. You may refer to the MDH document linked below, which was communicated to all board certified physicians and immunization providers (e.g., pharmacists) in Maryland.

I would contact your local CVS Pharmacy to receive these vaccines. Good luck.
