Thanks in advance. I tested positive for Covid-19 last Thursday, my wife did not present symptoms until this morning and then also tested positive this morning, my question is how many days from today should I quarantine or what is the CDC guideline on that situation. Thanks again.
You are allowed to resume 鈥渘ormal鈥 activities which wearing a well-fitting mask after 24 hours from your last fever or of feeling that your symptoms are improving. This is part of the updated respiratory virus guidance from CDC.

However, I have been instructing people that they should limit their interactions with other people outside the home for at least 5 days from infection. And, some people are known to shed the virus (be able to transmit the virus to others) for a longer time than just 5 days. Therefore, I have been advising that although it is 鈥減ermissible鈥 it also may not be the best decision. If you are feeling better, you can leave the home but still should wear a mask for up to 10-14 days just in case you could infect other people.
