I am on my 5th day of a positive Covid bout. I just tested again and I am still positive. Am I able to start going out with a mask?

The CDC suggests that you should isolate at home for a minimum of 5 days. Ending isolation does not mean ending the wearing of a mask when in public spaces. So, I would continue to wear a well-fitting mask for at least 10 days, if you decide to come out of isolation. The positive test means that you are still shedding virus. If you can remain in isolation or minimize your time when out in public until you test negative then that would be preferred, however many people do not have access to test kits. Therefore, my advice is that you emphasize wearing a well-fitting mask when in public and that you try and minimize your time in public.
