I am a 74 year old male who has had a coronary artery bypass and has not caught Covid. I have had all the Covid vaccines that were offered including the last monovaliant vaccine. This was given to me in September 2023. I understand that the protective effects against infection wanes after 4 months, although there is still protection against needing hospitalization if infected. I do not want to get infected at all and the next updated monovaliant vaccine version may not come out until the Fall of 2024.My question is can I get a repeat of the last monovaliant vaccine to protect me against infection during Spring and Summer before the updated vaccine is again offered? Thank you.

You have completed a single dose of the 2023-24 formula Covid-19 vaccine. That is all that is currently recommended and approved.
