I had Covid and took Paxlovid. Tested negative after 10 days from start of symptoms. Housemate had had Covid a couple of days before me, also took Paxlovid, tested negative 8 days after symptoms started. Two weeks after start of his symptoms, he was sniffling and congested, tested positive again. A day after that I, who doesn't really have any symptoms, also tested positive. Is this a rebound or are we just still shedding virus? Mainly want to know to figure out how to be out in the world, and with elderly relatives! Thanks you!

This could be Paxlovid rebound but what is more important is that everytime a person has a Covid rapid antigen test that is positive then you must assume that you are still shedding virus and could be infectious to the people around you. You should therefore limit you time outside of the home, practicing a self-quarantine, and when you do leave the home then you should wear a well-fitting mask (such as a KN95 mask) to reduce the risk that your exhaled breath with infect others.
