I (25F) tested positive for Covid yesterday morning. Pretty mild case -- congestion, fatigue, headache, but no fever. I'm currently isolating and taking Paxlovid since I have asthma. I had the bivalent booster at the end of November. My boyfriend (25M) had Covid from 2/20-2/24 (also a mild case).I'm wondering what the risks are if I spend time with him -- masked or unmasked? I would assume he is immune since he just had it, but I am not positive and don't want to reinfect him or potentially infect other people (i.e., his coworkers) with him as the carrier. Thank you!

Isolation with active Covid is preferred to be done alone, to reduce risk to the public. However, if you must spend time together then you should both assume that both you and he are infectious and both remain under strict isolation.  After your period of isolation, you should both be prepared to wear a well-fitting mask (KN95 or better) when in public for the next ~2 weeks because there may be continued shedding of infectious virus even without symptoms.
