Remain in isolation to minimize the risk of continuing transmission and infecting others. When you have completed the 5-days therapy of Paxlovid you may experience “rebound” symptoms after 2-4 days; this is known to happen to as many as 10-30% of people. The “rebound” means that you continue to be infectious but the symptoms are usually not bad enough that you require hospitalization. I suggest you wear a well-fitting mask if you must be out in public spaces for at least 2-weeks from when you feel you’ve initially recovered from the infection.
Also, you should be prepared that your initial recovery does not necessarily mean “full” recovery back to yourself before the infection—as many people experience longer-lingering effects such as easy fatiguability, mild cough, etc. The symptoms of Long-Covid can be very different for different people, so you may need follow-up with a specialist should you have some long-lingering symptoms.
