I had the bivalent vaccine 6 weeks ago and recently got a mild case of Covid. I am concerned about others I may have exposed to the disease. Because I had the booster, am I less likely transmit the infection to others than if I had not had the booster?

The vaccine was designed to reduce the risk of severe Covid infection and was not intended to block transmission. Although some studies have shown that the vaccine has performed vastly better than designed (initially providing >98% efficacy for preventing hospitalizations and deaths!! REMARKABLE.) the protection against the currently circulating Omicron variant viruses does not include assurance of blocking transmission. This means it is important to wear well-fitting masks when in poorly-ventilated indoor spaces and to improve the indoor air quality when possible through improving ventilation (bringing in outdoor fresh air) or filtration (e.g., HEPA filtering).
