I have symptoms of long covid (brain fog, fatigue, slight sore throat), 3 mos. after 1st diagnosis. While I still have these symptoms, can I get a new covid infection or am I immune? Also, is the new booster recommended for people who still have long covid symptoms?

It has been estimated that as many as 10-30% of people may experience prolonged symptoms which are referred to as long Covid. Vaccination with a booster dose can be done while you are still experiencing long Covid symptoms. You are not immune to another or new Covid infection while experiencing long Covid. If interested, perhaps you can participate in the ongoing research that is being performed to try and better understand and treat long Covid, .
