Can wearing a good mask increase viral load inside the mask, therefore increasing your individual chance of getting Covid? My daughter got Covid. When we realized, I immediately started masking in case I had it as well. However, I started wondering if I had just a small viral load in my breath, since Im wearing a kf95 mask which would do a good job keeping the virus in, would keeping that viral load in allow it to multiply more so than if I were to breathe it out and breathe in fresh air without virus? Meaning if I had a small viral load but didnt mask, could I have dodged Covid better than masking, which keeps the viruses in and theoretically lets them multiply? Thank you!

Wearing a mask will not increase your own infection, it will reduce the risk of infecting others around you.
