Does immunity to Covid-19 mean that I'm unable to infect others if I come into contact with the virus again? I tested positive for COVID-19 almost a month ago, and my friend tested positive for COVID-19 in January '22. During the holidays, he went to Vegas with his friends (30+ people), and I saw him the next day where he was experiencing a headache and feeling sleepy. In the case that he did contact COVID-19 again, does this mean that my family and I are safe solely because I'm immune to it, so I won't be able to pass the virus on to my household?

Thanks to Omicron BA.5 we are seeing persons who may become re-infected with Covid within as few as 21 days. And, you are potentially infectious with each new infection.
