I am getting married this coming Saturday (6/25) and one of my best friends and groomsman tested positive for COVID 19 this morning (6/21). He had to test in order to go into work since a coworker of his tested positive. He also said he was feeling slightly sick since 6/19. His main symptom is sore throat and slight fever. If he monitors his symptoms and tests again on Saturday (6/25) and the test comes back negative, is it safe for him to come?

I congratulate you on this momentous occasion and celebration!  Alas, your best friend and groomsman should remain in isolation for a minimum of 5 days, counting from 6/21 the day of test positive. Also with the current Omicron virus, we have seen that many people remain positive, which also means they are capable to shedding infectious viruses for much longer than 5 days and therefore I would not want the wedding celebration to become associated with an outbreak.
