I am going to see my child graduate from UMB. Is it really a good idea with no mask mandate, indoors for multiple hours, and no requirement for vaccinations? I'm worried about getting COVID.
Your concern is duly noted. Your only course of action is to ensure that you are up to date with your vaccinations and wear a mask. Trying to control other people's behavior has been contentious and continuous to be a contentious subject. The indoor air quality has been improved as much as possible for most buildings across UMB. Nonetheless, your fear of getting Covid is well-founded and I would give yourself the latitude to determine whether you would rather attend virtually or to be selective in the venues that you will participate in personally.
