I got J&J vaccination in March and Pfizer booster in November. I've read that people who got J&J as first dose have little to no immunity after few months, so it's almost like I've only really got one Pfizer shot. Since I have auto immune disease, can (should?) I get another Pfizer shot?

Simply having an autoimmune disorder does not necessarily make you immunocompromised to the level of having no immunity to your single dose of J&J vaccine with Pfizer booster dose.  However, if you are on active treatment for your autoimmune disorder with high-dose steroids (e.g., 20 mg or more of prednisone or an equivalent drug for 2 weeks or longer), alkylating agents, antimetabolities, transplant-related immunosuppressive drugs, cancer chemotherapy agents, TNF (tumor necrosis factor) blockers, or other potent immunomodulatory biologic agents, then you would be considered moderately or severely immunocompromised.

Unfortunately, the J&J vaccine is not authorized for additional doses. And, since you received the J&J vaccine as your “primary” vaccine, you are currently only authorized for a single booster dose—which is what you have already completed.

You should consult with your rheumatologist and if you collectively agree that you are moderately or severely immunocompromised, then you may try to seek another dose of an mRNA vaccine and would probably have to travel out-of-state to be able to have this completed. This is a complicated decision process that requires that you discuss this with your provider.
