HI. I did a rapid covid test at home and it came out positive but I have been sick (coughing and my nose is blocked full of snot the normal symptoms of every kind of flu) What I want to know is if the fact that I am sick increases the chances of the rapid test coming out positive? I have taken the normal procedures and scheduled a LAB test.

Your symptoms, the known very high community-wide viral transmissions, and your positive rapid covid test all point in the same direction. No need to confirm with a lab test. Time to isolate yourself from others.
