I have had 3 tendons repaired in my left shoulder. I'm 8 weeks out after surgery. I now have gotten COVID. My shoulder was feeling fine but now it hurts all the time. Is that something that Covid could affect my healing? Thank you for your time and help.

Covid infection has been found to cause a number of “surprising” adverse effects, including inflammation of joints, muscles, heart tissue, etc.  It is also responsible for a multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (known as MIS-C) and in adults (MIS-A)—both of which can be very serious.  If you have debilitating symptoms then you should seek further consultation from a specialist, which might include a rheumatologist, to further help determine if your pain is due to post-inflammatory problems with Covid infection.
