How transmissible is COVID from one vaccinated person who has a breakthrough case, to another vaccinated person?

A person experiencing breakthrough infection means that they have some shedding of virus. There is some evidence that vaccination can significantly reduce the amount of virus being shed and thereby would be less transmissible. However, newer data with infections caused by the Delta variant (which is now nearly 100% of the infections in the U.S.) shows that there is much more virus and some studies show that the amount of virus can be similar to the unvaccinated.  However, vaccinated individuals have far lower risk of severe infection, including much lower risk of hospitalization and death.  So, the vaccines continue to show very good effect.
