We are a family of 5 with three adult children in their 20's. All of us are vaccinated. One of our adult children socialized over the weekend and now has flu-like symptoms. He is going to get a COVID test today. Should the rest of the family stay home from work until we get a result? If he does have COVD, would he have been contagious before his symptoms appeared?
The answer is yes for both questions. we recommend having all family members tested because the infectious period can be before the rise of symptoms.
