I tested positive for covid last Sunday. I am able to go back to work Wednesday. My best friend has been staying with me and my husband, she tested positive yesterday and my husband tested positive today. My kids have been with my mom since the 29th. Do you think I need to stay away from my kids and mom until we are all negative or do you think it is safe for just me to see my children after being around my husband and friend?

You and your household members have tested positive for COVID and must ISOLATE for 10 days. Isolation is for persons who are definitively infected; quarantine is the term for persons who are potentially exposed and awaiting information on whether they are infected. Isolation involves no contact with uninfected persons, to the best extent possible for your situation.

CDC guidelines are here. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/if-you-are-sick/quarantine.html
