Dear Academy, I am not an American, but I am very interested in the Constitution of the United States of America, which I consider the most perfect constitution in the world. I know that the constitution itself came about after a long debate by your Founding Fathers who debated it in the Federal Papers. Do you think the introduction of a potentially third presidential term would be fatal for destabilizing the system? The only example we have is FDR who won four.
  1. I see no reason why permitting a third term would be destabilizing.  Frank Roosevelt served a third term.  Did not seem horrible.  Might not be a good idea, but mediocre ideas are not destabilizing.
