Article First, Section 1 of the Connecticut Constitution, which provides that 鈥淸a]ll men when they form a social compact, are equal in rights; and no man or set of men are entitled to exclusive public emoluments or privileges from the community. 鈥漷hen in the IRS website it says ' the employee separates from service during or after the year the employee reaches age 55 (age 50 for public safety employees of a state, or political subdivision of a state, in a governmental defined benefit or defined contribution plan) ** How is this statement giving age privileges to public safety employees not conflicting our constitution ? thank you!
