My 80yo MIL has started to have trouble keeping track of her finances and calendar, but otherwise seems fine. Her doctor seems to think it’s a normal part of aging, but this seems sudden. Should I be concerned?
Yes, you should be concerned. A sudden change is often due to an acute medical problem and certainly should be seen and evaluated for that.
