UMB Launches Nation’s First Master’s Program in Trauma Sciences
The Íøºì±¬ÁÏ School of Graduate Studies, in partnership with the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the Íøºì±¬ÁÏ Medical Center, has launched the nation’s first graduate program dedicated to the academic study of trauma systems.
The new MS in Trauma Sciences is a two-year, online program that reframes trauma as a preventable disease. Designed for professionals in health care, public health, social work, emergency response, and related fields, the program helps students understand their role in strengthening trauma systems — coordinated networks that connect prevention, response, treatment, and recovery.
