Dietrich Performance Aircraft is proud to announce the 42% Slick 540. The Slick 540 is a brand new design that is a laser derivative hybrid. The full scale airplane is a full composite aircraft. It has a very sleek appearance with a unique set of wheel pants and landing gear cuffs. The aircraft is a cross between an Edge and an Extra. Featuring a mid wing design. It is the best design we have ever seen. It is very competitive in the full scale arena. The SLICK 540 won the 2007 Unlimited South African National championship. It will also make its début in the 2008 Red Bull Air Races.

We have designed the model to be an exact scale outline. The plane incorporates our new state of the art composite fuse side. This new technology give us the ability to achieve a very round scale look and appearance. Gone are the days of the flat fuse side look.

We introduced the 42% Scale prototype at the 2008 Toledo Expo and everyone thought it was a full composite fuselage. Due to this technology we can offer an airplane that has incredible strength, the look of composite and the reparability of a wood design.

We are going to start taking pre orders now. We will be offering an ARC and ARF version. For those of you who want to have a unique look and finish the model themselves go for the ARC.

We do not have a delivery date at this time but we are shooting for a fall schedule. Once the production run has started we will not be offering any ARC versions. ARC versions are special order only. Place your orders soon as we are selling out quickly.
